What if you are already everything you’ve been longing to be—it can show up in your awareness like an autumn leaf softly falling… magnitudes quieter than the world around you? What if there are elevated energetic layers of you WAY easier to connect with than you realize? Lee Kemter
There is a presence inside you that remembers what you came for, even when it eludes the conscious mind.
It waits—patient as starlight—for you to slow down, soften, and listen.
Is it intuition? Or implicit memory—influencing your feelings and behaviors without conscious awareness? Is it perhaps some sort of embedded analytical skill?
For centuries, mystics, sages, and esoteric teachers have spoken of something even more profound than any of these: a multidimensional Higher Self—energetically coiled within your own being like a golden spiral of truth, memory, and potential—layers of light, sound, and frequency stretching far beyond your 3-D reality.
Why This Matters Now
Terms like “Higher Self” might sound mystical, vague, or even too “New Age” to trust. But beneath the labels is a pattern—a felt experience—that arises across wisdom traditions, coherence science, and your own moments of unexplainable knowing.
The term Higher Self took root in the twentieth century in groups like the Theosophical Society. Instead of a fantasy, theory, or someone's floating abstraction, it turned out to be an energetic field of resonance—a version of you already aligned with the frequencies of clarity, compassion, and soul-direction:
- It harmonizes with your biology.
- It invites direct experience.
- It’s something you remember—through stillness, coherence, and the subtle tuning of presence.
- It can be incorporated and applied to daily life to enhance your conscious evolution (and that’s the very cool part).
What Is the Higher Self?
The Higher Self is currently discussed in meditation courses, yoga retreats, and psychology sessions.
Although I can see how it could be misconstrued as yet another spiritual concept to believe, I want to invite you to consider quantum physics. See how it feels to orient to it as a frequency to attune to.
In my study and personal experience, I can share that it’s the energetic layer of you that’s already living from clarity, compassion, and coherence.
It’s not separate from your 3-D self. From what I’ve gathered, it was coined as the "Higher Self” because nineteenth- and twentieth-century Western philosophers and spiritual teachers highlighted the contrast between higher-dimensional layers of consciousness and the “lower” egoic state of the everyday “self” we experience. The Higher Self includes more of you than ego—it’s your intuition, your soul-memory, your future possibilities, and your deep interconnectedness with the endless energy field of All-That-Is.
If your everyday self is the instrument, the Higher Self is the composer behind the music… the one who remembers what you’re here to play. And this composer is directly connected to and in symphonic resonance with All-That-Is.
You have likely felt it before:
- That quiet knowing that says “this is the way,” even when logic disagrees.
- The sense of inner expansion when you act in alignment with your values.
- The still voice that isn’t reactive—it’s wise, steady, and spacious.
When any of these experiences unfold in your life, you are not experiencing a fantasy or a product of your imagination. It’s the signature frequency of your Higher Self speaking through energy field coherence.
It is A Field that’s Always Accessible
Some traditions describe the Higher Self as a spark of divine intelligence—an individuated aspect of the whole. Others speak of it as a multidimensional field of awareness, layers of your consciousness that exists beyond time and space.
In quantum terms, it could be seen as the nonlocal pattern of your fullest potential, already existing in the quantum field, guiding you not from above, but from within the nested geometry of your being (So this is not a hierarchal, top-down process).
Your Higher Self isn’t separate from you nor does it have power over you. It’s not wiser either. It’s simply enfolded—nested—in the energy of your subtle architecture. In the field theory of quantum physics, endless, nested layers of yourself is a key theme to consider as part of your overall individuated being.
Just like a radio station is always transmitting, your Higher Self is always emanating…
The only question is: how do we become quiet enough to hear it?
Through the energy field of your Higher Self (which extends beyond the 3-D energetic layer) you can explore the breathtaking vibrational layers within your energetic human form. You connect directly with your multidimensional self, rather than only the 3-D self you’ve been programmed to focus on.
Revered sages, scientists, and philosophers—throughout the millennia and across many cultures—created systems to describe this ineffable aspect of the subtle human architecture. The Higher Self appears across remarkable diversity of traditions, though named differently. Let’s explore some of them.
Ancient Maps of the Multidimensional Higher Self
The concept of a Higher Self—this luminous, guiding aspect of consciousness—isn’t new. It echoes through millennia, across cultures that never spoke to one another, yet arrived at strikingly similar recognitions.
In Ancient Egypt (c. 3000 BCE), they understood the soul as multi-layered:
- The Ka was your vital life force, the energy that animated you
- The Ba was your personality and character—depicted as a bird with a human head, who travelled between worlds
- The Akh was your transfigured, enlightened self—the union of Ka and Ba, radiant and immortal
The Egyptians knew: you are more than one thing. You are have a physical and an invisible architecture—comprised of layers of consciousness, each with its role.
In India’s Vedic traditions (1500-500 BCE), they spoke of Atman—the true Self, eternal and unchanging, identical with Brahman (universal consciousness). But they also mapped the koshas, five energetic sheaths surrounding your deepest essence:
- Annamaya kosha — physical body
- Pranamaya kosha — vital energy body
- Manomaya kosha — mental/emotional body
- Vijnanamaya kosha — wisdom body (intuition, Higher Self)
- Anandamaya kosha — bliss body (closest to pure being)
Based on my understanding and study of the koshas, our Higher Self resides in the vijnanamaya kosha—the layer where intuition, soul-knowing, and timeless wisdom emerge. It’s not the surface mind but your deeper intelligence that sees patterns, remembers your purpose, and guides from wholeness.
Kashmir Shaivism (7th-12th century CE), one of the most sophisticated non-dual philosophies, offered an even more detailed map: the 36 tattvas—principles or frequencies through which Pure Consciousness manifests into form.
Here’s how they described the journey of your consciousness from infinite awareness to individual embodiment:
Tattvas 1-5: Pure Consciousness Realm
- Shiva (1): Pure, undifferentiated awareness—the source of everything—before awareness of itself or anything else takes place
- Shakti (2): Creative power, awareness of its awareness
- Sadashiva (3): “I AM”—the first glimmer of self-recognition
- Ishvara (4): “I am THIS”—intention and creative will
- Shuddhavidya (5): “I am this, and this is I”—perfect wisdom, unity-in-diversity
These first 5 Tattvas seem more closely related to the overarching “Oversoul” we discussed in the last post than to the individuated, multidimensional layers of your awareness (Higher Self).
As I studied this system, I found that below Tattva 5 are the dimensions where your Higher Self primarily operates, while remaining connected to its Essence (described in tattvas 1-5) in its undifferentiated form, even though these dimensions are far beyond what the human mind can comprehend. At Tattva 5, consciousness is still connected to its very Essence, still perceiving unity, but now with individuated wisdom and purpose.
We’ll focus on the layers of divine light that form the individuated you. Keep in mind that all tattvas remain indelibly connected to the highest dimension of you, as All-That-Is. (As you continue reading, notice how the tattvas can become a useful map of your own consciousness.)
Tattvas 6-11: The Veils of Limitation
Here, consciousness begins to contract through the kanchukas (limiting principles):
- Limited creativity
- Limited knowledge
- Limited desire
- Time (sequential experience)
- Space and causality
These are not your faults or problems—they’re creative constraints that allow particular experiences to emerge. Like an artist choosing a canvas size or a musician selecting a key.
Tattvas 12-36: Individual Embodiment
- Purusha (12): Individual consciousness—”I am a being”
- Buddhi (13): Intellect, discriminative wisdom
- Ahamkara (14): Ego, identity formation
- Manas (15): Processing mind
- Senses, elements, physical body (16-36)
Your everyday, 3-D self operates primarily here—in the realm of thoughts, sensations, emotions, and physical form. Engaging with your Higher Self is the aspect of you that plays in the higher tattvas (as I mentioned, I think of them as higher-dimensional fields).
But here is a key insight from Kashmir Shaivism: All 36 tattvas are already present within you. You do not climb a ladder to reach the Higher Self—you simply remember the dimensions that were always there — obscured by your identification with the densest layers.
Your multidimensional Higher Self never disappears. As part of your subtle architecture, it’s been broadcasting this whole time, like a radio station you forgot how to tune in to.
The Western Threads
The recognition of multidimensional consciousness wasn’t limited to the East.
Greek philosophers: Pythagoras (6th century BCE) is a great example. He looked at mathematics and geometries to describe invisible reality. His Tetractys is a triangular figure representing the number ten, consisting of four rows of dots. Pythagoras' contributions set the stage for exploring dimensions in both a mathematical and philosophical context. Pythagoras believed in a cosmos governed by mathematical laws, which implies a relationship between dimensions and the structure of reality.
Pythagorean thoughts influenced Plato, who further explored the idea of higher dimensions, particularly through forms and the theory of forms.
Jewish mysticism in the Kabbalah distinguished between:
- Nefesh: Vital, animal soul (life force)
- Ruach: Emotional/spiritual consciousness
- Neshamah: Higher soul, divine connection
- Chayah and Yechidah: Even subtler levels approaching union with the infinite
Christian mystics like Meister Eckhart (14th century) and Teresa of Avila (16th century) wrote of the “interior castle”—layers of consciousness leading to the soul’s deepest chamber where God dwells. This is not God dwelling somewhere, as separate from you, but as the ground of your own being.
The Transcendentalists (19th century America)—Emerson, Thoreau, Whitman, and others—spoke of the Over-Soul, the universal spirit connecting all individual souls. Emerson wrote: “Within man is the soul of the whole; the wise silence; the universal beauty, to which every part and particle is equally related; the eternal ONE.” For clarity, this does not sound like an equivalent to the Higher Self. The Over-Soul would likely be related to the unity of all souls—like Tattvas 1-5, as part of our expanded overall dimensional architecture.
Theosophy (late 19th century), was established by Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, a Russian-American mystic and writer who synthesized Eastern and Western wisdom. She popularized the term “Higher Self” explicitly, describing it as:
- The immortal, reincarnating essence
- The Soul mediating between personality (lower self) and Spirit (Monad)
- Accessible through meditation, intuition, and alignment
From my research, this term has been used in various ways since Blavatsky introduced it—much like the “Oversoul’s” use in recent times, which is different than how Emerson’s essay described it. You may have heard the term Higher Self in various contexts. So I want to make sure you know the history behind the terms and how I understand and apply them today.
The Common Pattern Within Various Traditions
Across all these traditions, a consistent energetic architecture and understanding emerges:
You are not limited to expressing only as a 3-D being who hovers on the edges of 4-D dimensional reality.
You are layers—frequencies—dimensions of consciousness, from the densest (physical) to the most refined (pure awareness). You are all those tattvas yet you tend to relate to life through the 3-D layer.
Your everyday self navigates the material world—sensations, thoughts, survival, relationships, and time.
That is why I’ve considered whether I want to call these inner dimensions my “higher” self. This term could imply exalted frequencies but does this terminology describe how that frequency expresses? We’ve learned a lot more about our inner architecture over the past century. Is it more appropriate to feel into and think of it as our Multidimensional Self? It operates at a subtler frequency—timeless, multidimensional, connected indelibly to universal intelligence, holding the memory of our soul’s purpose. It’s not higher, as in a hierarchy. All dimensions of our consciousness are fully nested and integrated so they operate as part of a whole system.
What is beyond our multidimensional layer? Could it be Pure Consciousness itself—the infinite field from which all selves, all worlds, all experiences arise?
The modern invitation is not to believe in this architecture, or try to name it, but to experience it directly. This is where my interest is anchored. Unless I can apply a philosophy to my daily life as a way to expand my consciousness, it’s just more mental noise.
I will share how I connect with this individuated layer of vast dimensions within my quantum-level architecture. This is not something I just studied in books and courses or took someone’s word for it. It is an embodied experience that I can pass along to you.
Through stillness, presence, and coherence—you can feel these layers. Not as mental concepts or beliefs, but as lived reality. This is the thrilling and awe-inspiring aspect of diving into our multidimensional, nested layers
I found a version of the Higher Self in most cultures across the ages.
It seems to be such an intimate aspect of humanity that we’ve sought to connect with it for eons. Throughout history, sages and practitioners seemed to agree that it is not elsewhere. It is woven into the fabric of your being, waiting in the quiet space between thoughts, in the pause before you speak, in the intuitive knowing that arises when you stop trying to figure everything out.
How to Begin Listening
If the Higher Self is always transmitting, how do we receive? I came to the understanding that it’s not through more doing, but through quality of presence.
Three pathways to align with higher levels of your multidimensional architecture:
1. Stillness Practice Even five minutes of sitting in silence, focusing on the heart center in the middle of your chest, creates space for the Higher Self’s signal to emerge. Without forcing or seeking—just allow it to reveal itself naturally.
2. Heart Coherence Research from HeartMath Institute shows that when your heart rhythm becomes coherent (smooth, ordered), your brain entrains to that rhythm, and intuitive intelligence increases. The heart is a gateway—physiologically and energetically—to higher states of consciousness. We’ve covered that here.
3. Curiosity Over Certainty The Higher Self doesn’t demand anything. It whispers exalted wisdom through curiosity, gentle knowing, and subtle resonance. When you release the need to “figure something out” and simply wonder, you create receptivity.
Your Multidimensional Architecture: A Lived Reality, Not Just a Belief
These are not just ancient beliefs or philosophical abstractions. Although I understand how they could seem that way at first glance. This multidimensional architecture is your living reality—right now, in this moment, as you read these words.
The question is not whether you have access to these layers of consciousness.
The question is: Have you been made aware of or encouraged from a young age to notice them? Or have you been programmed to see yourself as only your 3-D level of experience?
Modern culture, consensus science, and even many religious institutions have taught us to identify almost exclusively with the densest layers—the physical body, the thinking mind, the survival-oriented ego.
Nothing is wrong with these aspects. They’re essential. They allow you to navigate the material world, solve problems, protect yourself, and form relationships.
But when you become conditioned to believe that’s ALL you are, that belief causes you to become like a radio convinced it’s only the plastic casing—unaware of the invisible waves of music constantly moving through it.
The truth the sages discovered, again and again across centuries and continents, is simpler and more stunning: You are not a small self trying to reach a wealth of higher dimensions of your Higher Self.
You are already multidimensional consciousness—operating at multiple frequencies simultaneously. The Higher Self is not somewhere else. It’s a bandwidth you’ve always had access to, yet never been taught to tune into. In fact, I've observed that religion and education focused my attention away from multidimensional consciousness.
The Tattvas: A Map of Your Energetic Frequencies
Let’s return to Kashmir Shaivism’s 36 tattvas—not as an ancient, abstract philosophy, but as a modern, direct map of your own consciousness.
Rather than imagining them as a ladder you have to climb, envision them as nested fields already present within you—like the layers of atmosphere around Earth, or the overtones within a single musical note.
When you focus exclusively on the densest layers (tattvas 25-36: your physical body, your five senses, your day-to-day thoughts), reality feels:
- Linear and time-bound
- Separate (you vs. world)
- Limited by circumstances
- Reactive to external events
This is the 3-D perspective—and it’s real. It’s just not complete.
But when you expand your awareness to include the higher frequencies (tattvas 5-16: your Higher Self, intuitive wisdom, creative intelligence), something shifts:
- Time feels more fluid—you access timeless knowing
- Separation softens—you sense interconnection
- Limitation becomes creative possibility—you recognize agency
- Reactivity gives way to response—you act from clarity
You have not left the 3-D world. You’ve simply remembered you’re also operating in 5-D, 6-D, 7-D, and so on—higher dimensional fields that were always present. You are are capable of operating beyond time and space.
This is not wishful thinking. It’s direct experience available through simple practices of presence and coherence with higher vibrational fields.
Why This Recognition Is Empowering
I know this post is longer than normal for me, and I am inviting you to stay with me because this is a life-changing understanding. Here’s what changes when you recognize your multidimensional nature:
1. You stop waiting for permission. The Higher Self isn’t an expert or revered teacher, a deity, or an external authority you must petition. It’s you—at a frequency of greater clarity and coherence. You already have instant access.
2. You realize you are not broken. Spiritual seeking often carries an implicit message: “You’re incomplete. You need fixing.” But the tattva framework reveals that all frequencies are already present. You’re not lacking anything. You’re simply learning to attune to what’s already broadcasting.
3. You understand why life feels multidimensional. Ever notice how a conversation can feel shallow one moment, then suddenly deepen into something profound? Or how a place can feel energetically “off” even when nothing visible is wrong? That’s you perceiving through multiple tattvas at once—sensing beyond the 3-D surface into the energetic architecture beneath.
4. You discover practical navigation tools. When you know you have access to higher frequencies, you can choose to shift your awareness:
- Feeling reactive? Drop into the heart and access coherence (higher dimensions)
- Stuck in mental loops? Notice the space between thoughts (madhya—the still center)
- Lost in circumstances? Consult the part of you that sees the bigger pattern (Higher Dimensional Self intelligence)
The Heart: Your Energetic Gateway
This brings us to perhaps the most accessible entry point into your multidimensional self: the heart.
Not just the physical organ (though that matters too), but the energetic heart center—what yogis call anahata chakra, what Sufis call qalb, what Ramana Maharshi called hridaya.
The physical heart is extraordinary:
- It is the first organ that develops in the human embryo
- It generates the body’s strongest electromagnetic field—60 times stronger than the brain’s
- This field extends 3-8 feet beyond your body, detectable by sensitive instruments
- It communicates constantly with the brain and entire nervous system
But the traditions we’ve explored understood something more: The heart is also an energetic gateway—a portal between your everyday consciousness (lower tattvas) and your Higher Self (upper tattvas).
Why the heart, specifically?
Because the heart naturally operates in coherence—a state where rhythm becomes ordered, harmonious, synchronized.
When your heart rhythm is coherent (which you can cultivate through simple practices), something remarkable happens:
- Your brain entrains to the heart’s rhythm—neural activity synchronizes
- Intuition increases—you access knowing beyond logical deduction
- Emotional balance arises—reactivity softens
- Higher perception becomes available—you literally perceive more of reality’s subtle dimensions
The HeartMath Institute has measured this scientifically:
In coherent states, people consistently demonstrate:
- Enhanced intuitive ability (knowing things before they’re consciously processed)
- Improved problem-solving and creativity
- Greater resilience and emotional regulation
- Increased sense of connection to something larger
This is physiology meeting metaphysics.
The ancient sages knew experientially what science is now confirming: the heart is where your individual consciousness touches universal intelligence.
It’s the meeting point—the bridge—between your 3-D self navigating time and space, and your Higher Self operating from timeless, multidimensional awareness.
The Heart in the Tattva Framework
In Kashmir Shaivism, the heart center is sometimes called madhya—the middle, the center, the core—symbolizing the central point of consciousness and spiritual awakening. It can be understood as a dynamic bridge between individual and divine.
Madhya is not a location (though you might feel it in the chest). Madhya is a principle—the still point from which all movement arises and returns. It’s the axis around which consciousness spins, the gap between inhale and exhale, and the silence between thoughts.
It’s where Shiva (pure awareness) and Shakti (creative power) unite.
When you rest in the heart center, you’re not just accessing an energetic point of contact. You’re touching the generative core of consciousness itself—the source from which all 36 tattvas emanate.
This is why the heart is the gateway:
From the heart, you can:
- Descend into embodiment (feel your body, emotions, and sensations fully in daily life)
- Ascend into expansion (access intuition, wisdom, Higher Self knowing)
- Rest in the center (experience madhya—the still point beyond all movement)
The heart doesn’t choose between transcendence and embodiment. It holds both—which is exactly what your Higher Self does.
Your Higher Self isn’t “above” your human experience, rejecting the body and emotions. It includes and embraces your full humanity while maintaining connection to infinite consciousness.
The heart—both physical and energetic—is the organ designed to facilitate this integration.
The Breath: Your Bridge Between Worlds
There’s one more element of your architecture we need to explore—something so natural, so constant, that it’s easy to overlook: Your breath.
Right now, as you read these words, you’re breathing. You’ve been breathing since before you were born. You’ll breathe until your last moment. It happens automatically, whether you think about it or not.
But the ancient sages discovered something extraordinary: The breath is not just a mechanical process of oxygen exchange. It’s a living bridge between your densest, most physical self and your most refined, multidimensional consciousness—between the 3-D body and the infinite.
In yogic traditions, they called it prana—not just air, but life force, vital energy, the intelligent current that animates all existence.
They mapped the sushumna nadi—the central energetic channel running along the spine, from the base to the crown. When breath and awareness move through this channel with intention and stillness, something profound happens. Consciousness begins to recognize itself across dimensions.
But you don’t need to know Sanskrit or study esoteric texts to experience this.
You just need to pay attention—with curiosity and gentleness—to what your breath is already doing.

The Natural Pause: A Threshold Moment
Here is what I have discovered in my own meditation practice: When I breathe naturally—not forcing or controlling, just allowing—there’s a moment at the top of each inhale where the breath pauses.
It is not something I create. It happens on its own. In that pause, something shifts. I feel my energy field begin to expand. Not in a dramatic way or as a grand endeavor—it’s more like a subtle sense of spaciousness, like my awareness is softening at its edges.
The breath rises from my belly, moves through my heart center, continues up into my head... and then: stillness — a pristine threshold.
In that gap—that brief suspension between inhale and exhale—I’m neither rising nor falling. I’m suspended in the center. Time doesn’t quite apply there. Thought hasn’t formed yet. The mind is quiet. This is madhya again—the still point—the core. And it’s happening in every breath cycle, dozens of times per minute, mostly unnoticed.
But when you bring gentle awareness to it? When you notice the pause, rest there for just a moment, allow the stillness to deepen? The expansion continues. Sometimes the mind becomes so still that thoughts dissolve. Time and space lose their grip. What remains is pure presence—awareness aware of itself, without needing to be aware of anything.
This is your consciousness moving through the tattvas—from the density of body and breath (lower tattvas) into the spaciousness of Higher-Dimensional Self-awareness (upper tattvas).
I’m not talking in metaphor. This is a direct, felt experience.
The Toroidal Flow: How Energy Actually Moves
There’s something else I’ve noticed:
The breath doesn’t just move up and down in a straight line.
After that pause at the top of the inhale, the breath seems to cascade—like a waterfall flowing around and through my body. It moves down and around me in 360 degrees, circulates beneath my feet, then rises again through the energetic vertical axis along the spine, completing a continuous loop.
A toroidal field.
If you’ve ever seen images of Earth’s magnetic field, or the energetic patterns around a human heart measured by sensitive instruments, you’ll recognize this shape: a self-sustaining, circulating flow that moves through the center and around the outside in a continuous dance.
Quantum physicists describe reality itself as toroidal—nested fields within fields, energy moving in these elegant, self-organizing patterns at every scale, from atoms to galaxies.
And here it is, in your own breath—not a visualization or practice you have to learn. It’s a natural, observable pattern of how life force moves through you.
What the Sages Realized
In every tradition, every culture, every time period—breath is universal.
But the sages asked a different question:
What happens when we bring full consciousness to this process? When we don’t just breathe unconsciously, but witness the breath with presence and stillness?
They discovered that the breath is a vehicle. When you ride the breath with awareness—especially during those natural pauses—you can travel through dimensions of your own being, from physical sensation (3-D) into energetic perception (4-D, 5-D), and into timeless presence (the realm of Pure Consciousness itself).
The breath carries you there because that is the direction in which you are already moving. You’re just learning to notice, to stay present, to allow the journey to unfold.
Interested in a First-Hand Glimpse into What the Sages Discovered?
You do not need to believe any of this. You can test it directly.
Here’s a practice you can try right now, in the next 60 seconds:
- Sit comfortably. Close your eyes if you’d like, or soften your gaze.
- Breathe naturally. Don’t force or control—just notice the breath as it is.
- Feel the inhale rising from your belly, through your chest, into your head.
- Notice the pause at the top of the inhale. Don’t hold it forcefully—just observe the natural suspension. Note: Some people feel the pause at the top of the inhale (like I do). Others sense it at the bottom of the exhale, or even above the head—a suspension in space rather than in the breath. There's no "right" place. Your energy signature is unique, and the pause will reveal itself where it's most natural for you. I've observed that the pause is where I'm gathering my higher dimensional energy—but your experience might differ, and that's perfect. Over the years, I've concluded that meditation is about curiosity and expansion of consciousness, not following prescriptive instructions. My advice? Have fun. Follow your curiosity. Explore the breath as a vehicle into higher dimensions, and trust what you discover.
- Rest in the pause for a moment. In that stillness. What do you notice?
- Allow the exhale to flow down and around, like a gentle cascade.
- Repeat for a few cycles. Just watching and allowing.
What happens?
For some, there’s an immediate sense of calm—the nervous system settling.
For others, a subtle expansion—awareness softening beyond the boundaries of the body.
For others still, a quiet knowing arises—intuition, clarity, a warm sense of “coming home.”
All of these are signs that you’re touching the higher frequencies of your own consciousness. So it’s not about achieving something. You are remembering something, immeasurably powerful about your own energetic fields. This toroidal field is already present awaiting your focused attention on its energetic current.
The Power of What’s Already Naturally Occurring
This is what makes the breath so extraordinary: You’re becoming conscious of what’s already happening.
Your multidimensional architecture—the tattvas, the energy body, the connection between 3-D and infinity—is already functioning.
- The heart is already generating its toroidal field.
- The breath is already moving through the central channel.
- The Higher Self is already broadcasting a signal to the greater energy field.
You only need to notice what you already are.
And the breath—simple, immediate, always available—is your doorway. Not the only doorway. But perhaps the most accessible one. Because you’re already breathing.
The question is: Would you like to be present for it?
A Golden Age Emerging Now—And Why You Matter
A thousand years ago, in the Kashmir Valley, something remarkable happened.
Kings became philosophers. Scholars became mystics. Artists wove spiritual insight into dance, music, and poetry. Dialogue flourished across traditions—Hindu, Buddhist, Shaivite—without rigid boundaries or dogmatic gatekeeping.
It was a golden age—not because life was perfect or suffering had disappeared, but because consciousness itself became the primary inquiry.
People asked: What is reality? What am I, truly? How does the One become the many?
And they did not just theorize or pontificate. They meditated, experimented, reported back from direct experience. The 36 tattvas weren’t invented—they were discovered and mapped from inner exploration the way astronomers map stars.
What made it possible?
From my perspective of studying this unique time period, it was not wealth alone, or peace, or favorable conditions. It was openness. Collective openness to question everything. Openness to honor direct experience over inherited doctrine. Openness to the possibility that reality is far vaster, more multidimensional, more miraculous than conventional thinking allowed.
And then—as golden ages do—it faded.
Conquest. Religious persecution. Libraries burned. Lineages broken. The teachings went underground, preserved by a few families, nearly lost to history.
But here’s what moves me: Those sages had no idea how far their insights would travel.
They couldn’t have imagined that a thousand years later, their maps of consciousness would resurface—translated, studied, validated by quantum physics, embraced by seekers worldwide who’ve never set foot in Kashmir.
The ancients simply showed up. They explored. They reported what they found.
And here’s the mind-blowing part: the field—consciousness itself—preserved it.
Our Moment: Chaos and Emergence
Look around right now. Chaos runs rampant. It’s easy to see division. And uncertainty. Systems are crumbling. Old paradigms collapsing before our eyes.
But if you look beneath the surface noise, something else is happening:
- Millions of people are turning inward—meditation is no longer fringe. It’s mainstream
- Science and spirituality are converging—like we see with the field theory, consciousness studies, and coherence research
- Technology is connecting us globally in ways never before possible
- Ancient wisdom is accessible instantly—texts that were once hidden are now a search away
And perhaps most significantly:
People everywhere are sensing something is happening. A shift. I am wiling to put it our there that it is an emergent shift in consciousness and an evolutionary threshold.
Many describe it as a hunger for unity—a knowing that separation is disabling and killing us, that we need to come together as a species, but we don’t yet know how.
What if the “how” is simpler than we think?
What if it doesn’t require a single charismatic leader, or a new political system, or a technological breakthrough (though those may play roles)?
What if it begins with each of us recognizing our own multidimensional nature—and choosing to live from that recognition?
What Does It Mean to Evolve?
We often think of evolution as external advancement:
- Higher IQ
- Better technology
- More complex social structures
- Mastery over nature
And yes, those can be part of it.
But what if the next evolutionary leap is primarily about consciousness?
Not becoming more than human, but becoming fully human—awake to the totality of what we already are.
- Not just 3-D beings with clever minds
- But multidimensional consciousness, operating across frequencies from matter to pure awareness
- Not separate fragments competing for resources
- But expressions of one unified field, recognizing ourselves in each other
This kind of evolution doesn’t require genetic mutation or millions of years. It requires recognition. The same recognition the Kashmir Shaivites pointed toward: “Pratyabhijna”—remembering what you’ve always been.
The Shift From Seeking Outside to Knowing Inside
Where have we been conditioned to look the wrong direction? For centuries—across religions, spiritual traditions, even much of New Age philosophy—we’ve been taught to reach outward for help:
- Pray to angels or ascended masters
- Seek guidance from gurus or teachers
- Wait for divine intervention
- Hope for salvation from something external
I want to be clear that guidance, wisdom, and inspiration from others can be valuable. But somewhere along the way, we internalized a deeper (false) message: “You are not enough. You need something outside yourself to complete you.” What if that’s been the ultimate programming?
What if the greatest treasure—the frequency, the intelligence, the coherence, the creative power—has been inside you all along… not as potential you have to earn or unlock through decades of discipline, but as your fundamental architecture, already present, already broadcasting, waiting only for you to tune in.
Your Higher Self is not a distant deity you petition. It’s you—at a frequency of greater clarity, coherence, and connection to the unified field.
When you access it—through stillness, heart coherence, and breath awareness—you’re not reaching for something external. You’re recognizing what’s already here.
The Mechanism: Personal Coherence Creates a Collective Shift
This can be part of our spiritual or personal development. But on a deeper level, this is how fields work.
When your heart enters coherence—when you access love, peace, joy, wonder—you emit a signal. I’m not speaking in metaphor here. I mean literally. Your electromagnetic field (measurable up to 8 feet from your body) shifts into ordered, harmonious patterns.
And here’s what’s extraordinary: Fields entrain. When one coherent field encounters another, they begin to synchronize—like tuning forks resonating together, or pendulum clocks on the same wall gradually swinging in unison.
This has been studied:
- The Maharishi Effect: When 1% of a population meditates, crime rates drop measurably
- Global Coherence Initiative: Collective emotional states affect Earth’s magnetic field
- HeartMath research: Coherent individuals create measurable shifts in group coherence
Translation: When YOU shift into higher frequencies—not someday when you’re “enlightened enough,” but right now, in this breath—you affect the entire field.
Your personal coherence is not trivial. It’s evolutionary participation.
The multiverse—the quantum field, unified consciousness—registers your signal. And when enough individuals emit coherent signals simultaneously? The collective field tips without force or legislation or war. It’s through resonance that we elevate.
We Have not Even Begun to Tap Into Who We Are
Think about this: If Kashmir Shaivism could flourish a thousand years ago—without internet, without global communication, without scientific instruments to measure coherence, without the ability to connect millions of practitioners simultaneously—imagine what’s possible now.
We have:
- Instant global connection (a meditator in India can synchronize with one in California in real-time)
- Scientific validation (we can measure heart coherence, brain synchronization, field effects)
- Accessible teachings (wisdom once guarded by initiates is now freely available)
- Technology amplifying consciousness (biofeedback, neurofeedback, potentially forms of AI as collaborative intelligence)
- Billions of people waking up simultaneously, hungry for something deeper
If a few hundred sages in one valley could map multidimensional consciousness with precision... What becomes possible when millions—billions—of people recognize their Higher Dimensional Self and start accessing Pure Consciousness as their birthright? We have no idea. And that’s thrilling.
The Treasure Was Never Outside You
For so long, we’ve been programmed to look outside ourselves:
- For approval
- For answers
- For salvation
- For permission to be magnificent
But the treasure trove of frequency, intelligence, creative power, and coherence... has been inside you all along.
In those breathtaking multidimensional layers we’ve explored in this post:
- The tattvas mapping your consciousness from infinite to embodied
- The heart center as your energetic gateway
- The breath as your vehicle between dimensions
- The Higher Self as your direct line to the core intelligence of your Essence
Rather than distant or difficult, it’s natural, inherent, and already present.
An Invitation to Curiosity
Maybe you cannot yet feel these higher frequencies clearly. Maybe meditation still feels like sitting with a noisy mind. And maybe the idea of multidimensional consciousness sounds abstract or overwhelming. That’s okay. You don’t need to believe it. You don’t need to master it immediately. You just need to be curious.
Curious enough to:
- Sit in stillness for five minutes
- Notice the pause in your breath
- Place awareness in your heart center
- Ask: What if there’s more to me than I’ve been taught?
That curiosity—that kind of openness—is the seed. And seeds, given time and gentle attention, can become breathtaking (even gigantic) forests.
The Golden Age Is Here—If We Choose It
Amidst the chaos, beneath the noise, beyond the programming of consensus reality: A golden age is emerging. Not because conditions are perfect. But because consciousness is stirring—individually and collectively—toward recognition of what we’ve always been:
- Multidimensional beings.
- Expressions of the One playing as the many.
- Already whole, already connected, already equipped with everything we need.
The question is not whether we can create this golden age. The question is: Will we choose to participate in it?
- Will we turn inward and discover the treasure?
- Will we trust our higher dimensional self aspect as our compass?
- Will we emit coherence into the field, knowing our signal matters?
The sages in Kashmir showed up, explored, and reported back. Now it’s our turn. Not to replicate their exact path. But to honor the same spirit with: Openness. Curiosity. Direct experience. Trusting in the multidimensional nature of reality.
Choosing—right now, in this moment—to:
- Turn inward rather than seeking outside
- Trust your Higher Self as your primary guidance system
- Cultivate presence, stillness, heart coherence as daily practice
- Embrace curiosity and wonder about your own multidimensional nature
- Emit the frequencies of love, peace, joy—not because everything is perfect, but because you recognize these are your natural state
This is how golden ages are born. Not by accident. Not by a few enlightened masters doing the work for everyone else. But by ordinary people recognizing their extraordinary nature—and living from that recognition.
The Kashmir Shaivites didn’t know their insights would matter a thousand years later. You don’t know how your coherence will ripple out. But the invitation is the same:
- Show up fully.
- Be present.
- Allow your Higher Self to guide.
- Trust the unfolding.
And perhaps—as in Kashmir—consciousness will preserve what we discover, too.
Not for just a thousand years. But with the species-level shift that’s already underway, inviting a never-before evolutionary shift. Think and feel its magnitude and reverberations for the future.
A Personal Note
Writing this post has been a poignant journey for me. Warm memories emerged from a decade ago in India with my late husband—while studying Indian philosophy and ancient teachings for five years. I had no idea to what degree this would require letting my mind become so quiet that I could touch my very essence in stillness—to experience layers of subtle human architecture that shifted my view of reality itself.
As I revealed and unpacked what I experienced, I challenged myself to find ways to convey why this was the most important discovery of my life, and how it could be the key to human evolution and massive changes in our world.
The Ultimate Thread is Life’s Tapestry
In my last post about the Oversoul, I shared Ralph Waldo Emerson’s existential crisis of losing his beloved wife. Soon after, he lost two younger brothers to tuberculosis, followed by the loss of his father. The chaos pervading post-revolutionary war culture pervaded his world, and the cumulative toll of life experiences took him to his knees. From that inner state, he indicated that authentic answers could not come from anyone in his lived daily experience. Instead of leaning on friends, clergy, or colleagues, he chose something extraordinary and entered what I call the realm of his heart intelligence.
For Waldo (his preferred name for himself when he attended Harvard), life itself had not cruelly broken him down. Rather, it offered a profound opening to shift from the intelligence of the mind that had served him well up to that point… to the intelligence of the heart, which is soft, pliable, and endlessly ready to connect to the Higher Self, our innate nature. From the Higher Dimensional Self we have an energetic bridge to the core intelligence of infinite wisdom. This core intelligence streams from that first Tattva discussed above where Awareness is pure, it isn’t even aware its aware. It’s in its fullness. Is it even possible for our mind to imagine the grandeur of that energetic state? Yet its playing out endlessly in our core.
When heart intelligence connects us to the invisible core intelligence, powerful vibrations can open channels to dimensions inside that we have not yet consciously embraced and they can become established as the ground of being for living life connected to the mind, without being driven endlessly by its limited capacities.
The golden age I mentioned above doesn’t require us to be perfect.
It requires us to be present, curious, and receptive to unexpected dynamism coming into play. It requires us to connect with heart intelligence and live from there in peace and harmony with each other and the earth itself. Our heart is always online, as a bridge to the core… one gentle breath at a time.

P.S. Sharing Energy Layers With Children
Children are naturally multidimensional. They haven’t yet been programmed to doubt their intuition or suppress their energetic awareness. In fact, kids often perceive and feel things that adults have learned to ignore—the “vibe” of a room, the energy of a person, the aliveness of nature.
For parents who want to introduce these concepts to young ones, or for those who would like to have a tool for homeschooling, here are two playful practices designed for ages 6-12. No complex philosophy required—just curiosity, imagination, and breath.
Practice 1: The Breath Journey
A Guided Visualization (5-10 minutes)
This is a gentle, playful version of the toroidal breath practice we explored earlier—translated into language and imagery children naturally understand.
You can read this aloud to your child and guide them, as needed. Older kids might like to read it and dive in on their own:
“Get comfortable—you can sit or lie down, whatever feels good. Close your eyes if you want to, or just look down softly at the ground.
Now, imagine something magical: You’re not just a person. You have a beautiful, glowing fountain made of light inside you! YOu are sitting or standing in a beautiful place with the sun above you, showering you with it’s brilliant radiance.
When you breathe IN, sparkly golden water (or any color you like—maybe rainbow, or silver, or blue) rises up through the center of your body. It starts way down in your belly, flows up through the center of your chest, and keeps rising all the way to the very top of your head.
At the very top—right above your head—there’s a tiny pause. It’s like the water is floating in the air for just a second, sparkling in the sunlight. Everything is perfectly still.
Then, when you breathe OUT, the magical water cascades down all around you—like a waterfall! It flows gently around your whole body, down past your shoulders, your arms, your legs, all the way to your feet and even below your feet.
And then guess what? The water rises up again! Up through the center of. your body along your spine, to the top, pause, cascade down, and around again. You’re a fountain of light, flowing and glowing with every single breath.
Try it a few times. Breathe in—watch the light rise. Pause at the top. Breathe out—feel it flow all around you.
This is your real energy! It’s always there, always flowing, even when you can’t see it. Pretty cool, right?”
After the practice, you can ask them:
- “What color was your fountain?”
- “Did you feel the pause at the top?”
- “How does your body feel now?”
Why this works:
Children respond beautifully to concrete imagery (fountain, waterfall, sparkles). It makes the invisible visible in their imagination, and many will actually feel the energy moving. This plants a seed: I am more than just my body. I am energy. I am light. And this breath process/energy exchange never ends. It’s always accessible.
Practice 2: Energy Layers
A Coloring Activity
This activity helps children visualize their multidimensional nature in a way that’s tactile, creative, and fun.
What you’ll need:
- Blank paper for drawing (the Coloring Page)
- Crayons, markers, colored pencils—whatever they love
- Optional: Glitter, stickers, anything that makes it feel special
The Coloring Page:
Have them draw their body or you sketch it for them —a simple outline of a child figure in the center, with 5 progressively larger outlines around them—like rings of light or an expanding aura around the body. Each layer can have a simple label:
- Center figure: “My Body”
- First ring: “My Feelings”
- Second ring: “My Thoughts”
- Third ring: “My Big Self” (or “My Wise Self,” “My Energy Self, ” “My Many-Layered Self… )
- Outermost ring: “Pure Light” (or “Everything-ness,” “All-That-Is ”) If they are old enough, you could expand the concept: If you wanted to use the words infinite energy field or Everything-ness for the outermost ring, ask them to think about the sky. When you look up, it goes on forever, and you can’t see where it ends. Or think about rubbing your finger over a circle. You can’t find the beginning or end, no matter how many times you try. Circles point us to what it means to be infinite.
Instructions to give your child:
“This is YOU—but not just your body you can see in a mirror. This drawing shows ALL the different layers of you.
Color each layer a different color. You can use any colors you want—there’s no right or wrong.
Notice how ALL the layers are part of you at the same time! You’re not just your body. You’re also your feelings, your thoughts, your Big (Higher) Self —the wise, loving part of you), and the brightest, biggest layer—Pure Light—which connects you to everything and everyone. You have invisible energy all around you. Like wind, as air, moving around you. You can't see it, but you can feel it and see things it moves, like leaves. Magnets have an unseen force that can pull certain metals towards them, and that force is made of invisible energy. (Use a speaker to play music). Explain that sound travels through the air as invisible waves. Although you can't see the sound, you can hear it. Light travels through space and air, but you can't see the light itself; you only see it when it hits objects. Wi-Fi is an invisible signal that lets you connect to the internet. You can say that: even though we can’t see it, it helps you use your tablets (or phone) to watch videos or play games. So you are surrounded by invisible energy fields all the time but you can’t see them. Your body also has invisible energy layers to it.
The coolest part, though? Those big, bright layers are ALWAYS there, even when you can’t see them. It’s like warm, nourishing sunlight behind clouds—always shining, always beaming love and good vibes to you.
After they finish, you can explore together:
- “Which layer did you use your favorite color for?”
- “Can you feel the Big (Higher) Self layer? Where do you feel it?” (Many kids will point to their heart or head)
- “Do you think other people have these layers too?” (Builds empathy and interconnection)
Why this works:
The visual representation makes the abstract tangible. Children grasp intuitively that they’re “more” than what they see—they just need permission and language to explore it. This activity gives them both. Plus, they create something personal they can keep, look at, and remember: I am so much more than I thought. My invisible layers are awesome.
A Note for Parents and Educators:
Through breath, art, and loads of curiosity, your task is to create space for children to explore their own direct experience. They already know they’re more than their body. They can feel it. Your role is simply to affirm: “Yes, what you’re sensing is real. Trust it.” That’s the greatest gift—permission to remain open to the vastness they naturally perceive, rather than learning to shut it down as they grow older.
Who knows? You might even rediscover your own sense of wonder by exploring alongside them. Imagine if we’d been given this kind of opportunity to explore our expansive, multidimensional self when we were young.
Cheering you on,
Lee
